CoroTurn HP is available in all Coromant Capto turning holders, both for external and internal turning. Covers the product range from Coromant Capto size C3 to C10, dependent at application area. Maximum coolant pressure through the tool is 80 bar (1160 PSI).
The truly modular SL70 system with serration lock and oval blade coupling, combined with Coromant Capto provide excellent accessibility and stability. The carbide solutions are equipped with high-pressure coolant nozzles and are available for CoroCut, ceramic RCGX, and carbide RCMT.
QS Quick change holding system
Use QS HP holders in Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, and Nexturn sliding-head machines. Ideal for parting off, grooving, threading, and turning operations in the medical area (titanium, cobalt, and stainless steels), aerospace area (HRSA materials), and low carbon steel.
Same nozzle technology as for Coromant Capto HP tools is also available for shank tools. Excellent performance from fine to medium applications. Maximum coolant pressure through the tool is 275 bar (4000 PSI).
CoroPlex TB is a combined turning and boring tool with two inserts in the same tool. Integrated solutions available for turning centers: High volume, such as automotive transmission, bearings, etc. Modular solutions for multi-task machines and large turning centers, such as oil and gas.
Dedicated insert geometries
The high pressure coolant insert geometry is especially designed for the HP holders. Compared to standard geometries, they promise longer tool life, improved chip breaking, and higher productivity, thanks to optimized high pressure coolant jets perfectly directed at the cutting zone. The geometries also have documented benefits at lower coolant pressure, but are design to be used at 80 bars (1160 PSI) or higher. They are available both in T-MaxP and CoroTurn 107 insert styles.
