Pedicle screw

Spinal instrumentation refers to different types of devices and implants used during spine surgery. Types of instrumentation can include pedicle screws, rods, connectors, plates, and interbody cages. 
 
The pedicle screw provides a means of gripping a spinal segment.
 
The tulip head connects the screw to the rod.
