GC4324 and GC4334 are highly wear-resistant drilling grades for indexable peripheral inserts. The secret behind these grades is Inveio™, which uses tightly packed uni-directional crystals to create a strong barrier towards the cutting zone and chip. In combination with finely structured TiCN technology featuring a hard and wear-resistant coating against abrasive wear, the grades also provide improved crater and flank wear resistance.
The grades are suitable for all types of carbon steels and cast iron and are secondary for stainless steels and hardened materials.
Creating holes that include either a step or a chamfer conventionally implies that additional tools are used in combination with the drilling operation.
