Milling
Light cutting action reduces vibration and cycle time

The CoroMill 331 cutter was found to be ideal for milling of complex and expensive drive shafts. The slots were roughed out with round inserts in standard cassettes, which was the most efficient combination.

The basic concept of this tool is suitable for deep slots and its adjustability enables great accuracy also in finishing. By using standard inserts and adapted Tailor Made tools – as well as one special cutter – in combination with correct cutting data, vibration could, in principle, be avoided. Close tolerances from slot to slot and improved surface finish on the walls was also achieved.
