The connectivity of Silent Tools™ Plus is available for operators through a digital dashboard with data directly from inside your component.
The center height setting functionality displays the level of the cutting edge. This way operators can quickly and easily set the center height of the insert to the right level. The result of this is better machining performance and longer insert tool life.
Knowing what is happening inside the component is a challenge when doing internal turning in slender components. By displaying when the tool is in cut or not on a dashboard, the operator can easily get a sense of the machining. Thus, time when the machine is running without the tool in cut can be reduced.
The Silent Tools™ Plus vibration sensors will pick up issues with your machining in an early stage, helping you taking actions in your daily work.
The temperature of the damping system is displayed on the Silent Tools™ Plus dashboard, enabling operators to monitor that the system is not damaged due to heat.
The new quick change interface between adaptor and cutting head is developed for easy handling and optimized machine utilization. It is designed to enable quick and accurate cutting head changes.
Set up tool quickly and correctly
A properly mounted tool reduces the risk of undersized holes that require re-work but also improves the cutting ability of the insert to ensure maximum tool life. The Silent Tools™ Plus center height indicator helps the operator to set up the tool quicker and with increased accuracy.
Manage tool load during machining
When cutting with a long slender bar, the visible bending of the bar may seem too much and it is easy to decrease cutting data, resulting in increased cycle time. Knowing the actual load you will always ensure that you are within the acceptable load range of the tool, maintaining or even increasing material removal rates, productivity and decreasing cost.
Silent Tools™ Plus provides automated load, vibration, deflection, and temperature protection in CoroPlus® Connected-equipped machines. The sensorised cutting solution rapidly trigger mitigating actions through the machine interface when problems and deviations are detected. Data-driven and automatic decisions ensure quality and reduce waste such as scrap and the need for rework. Automation reduces operator dependency, freeing up operator time and running unmanned operations.

Set up the tool
Unpack the Silent Tools™ Plus adaptor carefully. Before inserting the battery into the tool, connect it to the charger and allow it to charge to 100% to ensure optimal performance and battery longevity.

Download and install the software
Download and install the software on a device running Microsoft Windows 10/11 or newer.
For devices without internet access, please use the offline installer.
Start using software
Find the Silent Tools Plus adaptor in the list of available tools and connect.
Software updates
Software updates are released regularly and are notified through the software when online. If you are using the offline installer, please ensure to always have the latest version downloaded from this website.
The software must be brought online for the initial license activation, whereas the offline license activation can, if needed, be provided upon request.
