T-Max® P

Stable and secure clamping

Stability and security are essential for productive turning. Use lever clamping for wet machining, rigid-clamping for dry machining and short chipping materials and extra stability.

Chip control and process security

Pre-directed, precision nozzles create parallel laminar jets of coolant with high velocity, directed at the right place on the insert edge. It is the precision and character of these jets that make the difference in terms of chip control and process security.

Excellent surface finish

Double-sided inserts have strong edges that offer reliable and secure machining for all applications. Use Wiper and Xcel technologies for machining even at high feed rates, without affecting surface finish or chip breaking ability.

How a train wheel is made

Railway wheel turning is all about machining large components in big machines with large depths of cut. Depending on the train type, wheels have different characteristics and requirements.

    Advanced damping capabilities

Get advanced damping qualities with Silent Tools™ for tools that use T-Max® P inserts. These bars and adapters enable good productivity and stable machining in all turning operations, especially for overhangs up to 14 × bar diameter, narrow entries, and hard-to-reach seats.
